LOST LAKE ENGAGEMENT

A Lost Lake Engagement Session | Mariah & Dylan

Allow me to introduce you to Mariah and Dylan’s Lost Lake engagement session! Mariah has been my daughter’s best friend since junior high.

Dylan was a member of the Fresno State Marching Band and played in the mellophone section with my daughter. As she got to know Dylan she just knew she needed to introduce him to Mariah. That introduction would soon happen at a marching band get-together. Over time, Mariah and Dylan became friends. Their friendship really started to grow during 2020, when they began confiding in each other about their hurts, hardships, and what they wanted in life. This led them to see how much they had in common. Though they talked all the time, they continually denied being interested in each other while their best friends teased chided “Just date already!”

When COVID hit, Dylan had to move back to his hometown. This time apart made them realize their feelings for each other. They finally made it official at a Halloween party and the rest was history!

What I love about Mariah and Dylan together is they are truly invested in their relationship. They continue to find ways to grow together and encourage each other in all that they do, from school to serving on the worship team together at their church.

In June of 2022, Dylan decided that he wanted to ask Mariah to be his wife. After lots of planning and overcoming nerves, on their 2-year anniversary, Dylan popped the question privately in his lantern-lit apartment with their song playing in the background. It was such a beautiful, tear-filled moment. These sweet souls have been through a lot of trial and tribulation in their lives and seeing them find each other has been so beautiful and rewarding.
