Meet Crystal and Johnny! Their Bass Lake engagement session was EPIC! I am so thankful my clients trust me the way they do. This girl climbed over rocks and hiked up a trail in a formal gown for me! When you read their story you are going to fall in love with them, just like I did. They are the kindest and most genuine people I have met. I cannot wait for their wedding day!

Crystal and Johnny met in elementary school where he became her first boyfriend. In 7th grade they parted ways. When they entered 8th grade, Johnny asked her to be his girlfriend again but the timing wasn’t right for her. During high school they shared mutual friends but didn’t really talk to each other. Then, Johnny transferred to a different school. Because he was a wrestler he had a match back at the high school he attended with Crystal. During one of the wrestling matches she happened to run into Johnny. She was in ROP Sports Medicine and had to be at all sporting events. They spoke a little and then went on their separate paths.

Years later, they found each other on Facebook. They talked about how life was treating them. Crystal had a son from a previous relationship and Johnny was dating someone.

Sadly, 9 months after that conversation on Facebook, Crystal learned that Johnny’s girlfriend had passed away. He was devastated. Crystal reached out to show her condolence and checked up on him every other day. A couple of months went by and he asked her if she could meet up with him, which she agreed. The conversation flowed easily. They talked about school and their friends and where their lives had taken them. Crystal realized she felt something she had never felt for anyone.

Coming out of an abusive relationship, and Johnny dealing with his grief. They were there for each other and became each other’s rock. He helped her get through her domestic violence relationship and she helped him get through his loss. They had to go through everything they went through to be fully ready to love each other.Their love story is a gift from the Lord! God always brings new life out of the ashes.
