TAYLOR SWIFT INSPIRED WEDDING | RACHEL + ERIK

Taylor Swift Inspired Wedding | Goshen Venue Wedding | Visalia, CA

When it comes to celebrations, few things capture the heart quite like a Taylor Swift-inspired wedding, and Rachel and Erick’s wedding did not disappoint! Like Taylor, who is known for her dreamy aesthetics and romantic sensibilities, this wedding was a whimsical, unforgettable affair. Imagine a day steeped in soft hues, delicate flowers, and an atmosphere that feels like a love song come to life.

When I arrived at the hotel where Rachel and the girls were getting ready, the room was buzzing with excitement and and anticipation. Rachel had just finished getting her hair and makeup done and she was already stunning. I couldn’t wait to see her in her gown. It was a big secret. No one, not even her mom, knew what her dress looked like. It was a grand surprise for everyone!

Rachel was the epitome of grace and beauty in her ivory Justin Alexander dress. Designed in a lavish butter satin, the sweetheart neckline is decorated with laser cut satin flowers embellished with tonal beading for an unexpected play on texture. The 3D flowers continue along the detachable straps creating an off the shoulder neckline. Intricate seaming details the bodice while the asymmetrical pleated skirt reveals a slit to show off a sexy pop of skin. Hidden pockets and satin covered buttons cascading to the end of the train are the finishing touches. To complete her look, Rachel choose soft waves swept into a romantic updo, adorned with dainty flowers. Flower earrings embellished with pearls and rhinestones added a touch of whimsy.

Erik was excited to see his stunning bride during their first look. It was a special moment between the two of them to check each other out, see how the morning went, and share their combined excitement for what was still to come.

The bridal party’s attire was a beautiful reflection of a soft, romantic style. Each bridesmaid wore a flowy floral dress in pastel shades. For the groomsmen, floral ties adorned with tiny roses and intricate vine patterns in coordinating colors added a playful yet sophisticated touch. They provided a perfect complement to the bridesmaids’ dresses. Paired with their neutral colored classic suits, these floral accents tied the entire look together seamlessly. Erik’s female attendants perfectly matched the groomsmen with their neutral colored gowns.

From the moment guests arrived, they were transported into a world of romance and elegance. The venue was adorned with candles and floral touches at every turn. Lyrics from Swift’s songs were added to signage welcoming guests, marking the ceremony site, and guiding them to their seats.

Rachel and Erik wanted a short and sweet ceremony. It was the fastest one I have ever witnessed, done in 10 minutes! I didn’t have any time to leave the spot where I stood to capture different angles. Even though it was quick, it was still very meaningful and the most important thing…they got married!

As guests entered the reception, they were greeted by a scene straight out of a love story. Candlelit tables created a warm, inviting atmosphere, each one decorated with crystal bud vases holding dainty flowers. The soft flicker of candlelight added a magical sparkle to the evening. Each place setting was made up of a clear charger with gold edging and a blush pink napkin neatly folded across.

Floral touches were scattered all around the venue. Pink blooms and garlands of greenery draped over a wooden arbor set the backdrop to the sweetheart table. The farmhouse table was draped with soft, flowing fabrics and a beautiful floral arrangement. Clusters of candles in large glass hurricanes flanked the table.

One thing I caught on to pretty quickly in the day is Rachel’s mom and I seem to be a lot alike. I wish I could have gotten to know her more during the day. Like me, she is the talker of the family, and she welcomed all the guests with anecdotal stories about Rachel growing up. There were some great laughs for sure.

When it was time for the bridal party toasts, Rachel’s Matron and Maid of honor shared fun stories of their lifelong friendship with Rachel and what it was like when she met Erik. Fun fact, Rachel worked with Erik’s brother Jeff at Rite-Aid. One day Erik came into Rite-Aid to see his brother and Rachel struck up a conversation with him thinking he was Jeff (they do look a lot alike). A case of mistaken identity led them to this day!

Jeff shared his version of the story and then the toasts were wrapped up with a hilarious speech from Rachel’s brother McKenzie. He is hilarious. The look on Rachel’s face when he dropped the F-bomb not once, but TWICE during his speech. It was shocking and hilarious at the same time.

Thank you, Rachel and Erik, for having Patrick and I be a part of your amazing day!!! We loved hanging out with all of your friends and family and dancing the night away with you. We both wish you many years of amazing experiences and an ever growing love for each other!
