San Francisco City Hall Wedding | Brenna and DeAndre
Getting Ready at The Barnes Hotel
We began the day at The Barnes Hotel, a charming boutique stay in Union Square. The bride got ready with her mother and sister, who flew in from Kansas City. The suite buzzed with laughter, nerves, and the joy of reunion. Meanwhile, across the hall, the groom shared a touching moment with his grandfather, who helped him suit up for the day ahead.

First Look at City Hall
Transported by a sleek Sprinter van from SF Black Car, we arrived at San Francisco City Hall for their first look. We placed a sleeping mask on DeAndre before Brenna boarded the Sprinter van. DeAndre wasn’t a fan of not getting to see the sites on the way. We joked with him about bank robberies and crazy things happening on the street. He was so glad to take it off when we arrived.

Ceremony on the Mayor’s Balcony at San Francisco City Hall
The couple chose to marry on the Mayor’s Balcony, a regal setting with a view of the breathtaking rotunda. Their ceremony was elegant and intimate—full of emotion and surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Private Vows at Baker Beach
After their official “I do,” the couple headed to Baker Beach to exchange personal vows. With the Golden Gate Bridge in the background and waves lapping the shore, it was intimate, emotional, and breathtakingly beautiful—a perfect contrast to the grandeur of City Hall.

Reception at The Loft by Common Space
The celebration continued at The Loft by Common Space, an urban venue with a warm, laid-back feel. Surrounded by close friends and family, the couple celebrated with toasts, laughter, and delicious bites. It was a night full of connection and joy—proof that smaller weddings can be just as full of magic.

How to Plan a Wedding at San Francisco City Hall
Here’s what you need to know to plan your dream City Hall wedding:
- Choose Your Ceremony Type: A simple civil ceremony can be reserved here. For a more private setting like the Mayor’s Balcony, visit City Hall Events.
- Book a Photographer: City Hall is iconic but fast-paced. Having a photographer who knows the light, the best angles, and the hidden gems makes a huge difference.
- Transportation: Parking in downtown SF can be a hassle. Book group transport to stay stress-free.
- Bring Documents: Don’t forget your marriage license and government-issued I.D.s!
