The first few months of your child’s life is a whirlwind of change, as your little one begins to grow and develop their personality. You’re going to want to freeze every moment, so you can really cherish the time your babe is a teeny-tiny human. This is why newborn photography is so important, because it grants you that wish!
We all know, or have heard, that taking care of a newborn is a lot of work! Those first sleepless nights will leave you living in a haze. A newborn session will act as both a celebration of your new baby, and as a respite where you can slow down, regroup, and really take in the awe of this precious little human that came from you.
The most important reason to have a professional newborn session is it is quite literally a once in a lifetime event with only a small window of time to have them done. It may seem daunting, or impossible, to schedule a newborn session when you feel so tired and bewildered, but it’s so worth the effort to be able to look back on those memories forever and remember every little detail after they’re all grown up.
Below are some of my favorite images from Abigail’s newborn session. She is my cousin’s surprise addition to their family and a pure blessing. She will grow up with an older sister, Rachel, who is like her second mama, and older brother, Jeremiah, who just adores her. He is all grins when he holds her.
