Homer Ranch Engagement | Mao + Jimmy

I am so excited to share Mao and Jimmy’s Homer Ranch engagement session! It was SO beautiful up there. We met in April, after an exceptionally rainy season. We were blessed with the greenest hills full of wildflowers and the river was full of water. This was my first time photographing at Homer Ranch and it is for sure going to be a go-to location for me.

Mao and Jimmy met as many of my couples do, on a dating app, Facebook Dating. Mao said, “Not many good options with that one, so I lasted probably two days on there. Little did I know, the two days was all I needed to find my forever!” If you met on a dating app, you know exactly how relevant this statement is. I too met my husband on a dating app and let me tell you, you have to date a lot of toads to find your prince charming!

Jimmy must have met all her requirements, because she agreed to go on a date with him! They spent their first date, which lasted about 4.5 hours, walking around, grabbing food at a food truck, and a beer to-go at the Yardhouse. If you can spend 4 hours with someone on your first date, it’s a good sign you met your match! Jimmy proposed to Mao at Shinzen Friendship Gardens in Woodward Park.

Mao and Jimmy kick off my busiest wedding season in September. They will be tying the knot at Holland Park West, complete with a Lion Dance and late night Pho bar! I can’t wait to party the night away with these two, and just wait for their wedding blog post…their images are going to be GORGEOUS!
