Holland Park West Wedding | Mao and Jimmy Au-Yeung

I am SO excited to share Mao and Jimmy’s Holland Park West wedding with you! I met Mao and Jimmy at the International Wedding Festival at the Double Tree Hotel in Fresno. They stopped by my booth to chat and there was an instant connection. They contacted me soon after and were excitedly ready to book me for their wedding. We have been waiting 8 months for this day and I cannot wait to share all the details with you!

Mao, and her bride tribe, glammed up at a hotel in town while Jimmy and the guys got things ready at the venue. I arrived to capture details and a few getting-ready photos while Patrick, my second shooter, took care of the guys. Mao’s tribe was a perfect mix of her closest male and female friends. They all have spirited personalities which made it fun listening to them chat and joke around while getting ready.

It was non-stop activity once we arrived at the venue! Mao needed to get in her dress and the wedding party in their attire as well. Once everyone was dressed and ready, it was time to do the first look and take portraits.

I cannot tell you how excited I was to finally be standing there before them taking their wedding day portraits. The moment I started taking their portraits my eyes filled with tears. I was so happy and excited for them, and it was so special that I got to be a part of this with them.

Mao wanted their wedding day to be extra fun for their guests. She incorporated a lot of unexpected things for them to enjoy!

After the ceremony guests were treated to an ice cream bar and a magician provided entertainment during cocktail hour. A traditional crispy roasted pig was served with dinner and while everyone was dining, they enjoyed a lion dance. And finally, just in case anyone was still hungry after dancing, pho bowls were on hand to fill their late-night cravings. Mao thought of everything!
