Meet DJ Toe-Knee, one of Fresno’s top wedding DJ’s!! In my opinion, the three most important vendors at any wedding are the organized coordinator, a skillful photographer, and an amazing DJ!
After shooting weddings for the past 7 years, I’ve seen the good and not-so-good DJ’s in the wedding industry. In today’s Monday Minute, I’m going to share with you one of my favorite DJ’s, one of the Valley’s best DJ and hype man, Tony Sosa, aka DJ Toe-Knee!
What I love about DJ Toe-Knee is his passion. He loves being a DJ and sharing in all the different events and celebrations across the valley and beyond. Tony knows how to keep the dance floor packed with a wide range of music mixed on the spot. You never know what’s coming at you!
Tony’s energy makes him a great MC for any event. His kind heart and down-to-earth personality make him easy to work with. DJ Toe-Knee will make sure your event runs smoothly and you and your guests have an amazing time!

Q: How long have you been a DJ?
DJ Toe-Knee: Going on 25 years now. Yes a long time lol
Q: What got you interested in being a DJ?
DJ Toe-Knee: I’ve always loved all music, but my uncle decided to begin a DJ business and from there is where this career began.
Q: How would you describe your style?
DJ Toe-Knee: I feel like I don’t have a style, but I do like mixing old school, zapp, and Roger, Mary Jane girls, and Cumbia. My style would be described as open format meaning I mix all genres of music.
Q: What techniques do you use to engage the crowd and keep the dance floor full?
DJ Toe-Knee: During cocktail hour and the reception I like to play upbeat music, enough to get people moving in their seats but not enough to get them up on their feet. Scanning the crowd allows me to see who and what people have been feeling as far as the music. Once the dance floor opens up I know exactly my go to songs to get people up. I also become a hype man with songs and engage with the crowd.
Q: What upgrades do you offer clients?
DJ Toe-Knee: Aside from DJ and MC. We offer dancing on the cloud, cold sparklers, photo booth, marquee letters, and last but not least, coordinator services.
Q: What’s your favorite part of the wedding day?
DJ Toe-Knee: Ceremony: watching the grooms reaction as the bride is walking down the aisle. It reminds me of when I looked down the aisle at my wife. Also, the father/daughter and mother/son dances.
Q: How do you stay up to date with music trends?
DJ Toe-Knee: Listening to Spotify, pandora, Apple Music, and the radio helps me stay up to date on music and what’s popular. TikTok has become another source to see what’s popular in trends and music.
Q: What is your favorite genre to play?
DJ Toe-Knee: Old school and Cumbia.
Q: What song would get you on the dance floor?
DJ Toe-Knee: Oh man, is this a trick question? Anything Rick James or a good Cumbia with a lot of bass!
