A Wine Tasting Honeymoon | Napa and Sonoma, CA
Susy and I met in an online group of photographers. She lives in Kansas City but was planning her honeymoon in Napa, CA. She was looking for someone that could take portraits of her and her new husband while they were there. We started talking and she decided to hire me! I never would have guessed at that time that she would become one of my closest friends!
Todd and I made plans to stay at the Silverado. Susy and Scott had an Air BnB picked out not too far from us. We didn’t want to intrude on their entire honeymoon so we picked one day that we would meet up and hang out together. Leading up to our trip I had searched out some places that I thought would be amazing for their portraits.
On the day that we were to meet, Susy said she had found a little winery that really fit her and Scott’s personalities and style. We agreed to meet at Tank Garage and go from there. When we got to Tank it was this little old-fashioned garage from like the 50’s. It was super cute! It had a retro vibe inside and the wines were fantastic! Our tasting room server, Jaycee, was amazing. She made it so easy to get some great images inside the winery.
We left Rombauer and made our way to Beringer Winery. This was much more our speed. They were friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. We chatted it up with our server about Instapot cooking and Susy shared a quick and easy recipe with him. It was funny. After our tasting we headed out to explore the beautiful grounds. I could have stayed here all day taking pictures it was so pretty.
