Los Osos Engagement Session | Berenice and CJ

I met Berenice and CJ at a vendor fair held at Moravia Winery. When they stopped by my booth to chat about their wedding, I felt immediately connected to them. We had so much in common, which is exactly what I look for in the couples that I work with.

They love dogs, good wine, and Morro Bay (CJ is from there). I couldn’t ask for more! We talked with each other for a long time about all these things and more. I knew they were the ideal client for me, and I hoped they felt the same about me. Good news, they did! When Berenice told me they wanted me to be their photographer I was so excited! It meant I’d get to spend more time with them and talk more about the things we love!

Berenice and CJ met, as most couples do today, online. She was attracted to his love of dogs. After seeing each other a few times, CJ was offered a job back home. Berenice encouraged him to take the job as they had just started seeing each other and she felt it would be wrong for him to give up the opportunity.

Not long after she encouraged him to pursue his job opportunity, Berenice found herself in tears. She thought it was ridiculous because she barely knew him. Meanwhile, CJ had turned down the job, and at the encouragement of his mother, he contacted Berenice to tell her he didn’t take the job. The rest is history!

Berenice and CJ’s Los Osos engagement session was magical despite being overcast! As a lover of wild trees, I was in heaven! It was jaw-dropping gorgeous and felt like a fairy tale. I kept expecting to see fairies dancing around. It is no wonder Berenice had to have this location for her engagement photos!

After photographing practically every tree in the park, we were planning on going to Morro bay for the second half of their session. Unfortunately when we left Morro Bay to meet Berenice and CJ, it was covered with a marine layer and there was no chance of a sunset. We decided to head to Cayucos instead, because CJ’s mom had texted us that it was sunny there. To our surprise and excitement, on our way to Cayucos we saw that Morro Bay finally had sun! What a blessing! We got such beautiful images there too!

These two will be getting married at Moravia Winery in October 2023 and I cannot wait! It is going to be a PARTY!
