Despite the shelter in place order, we stole a few minutes in my front yard, with this sweet couple, for their engagement session.
Ginger and Ryan met their freshman year in high school but didn’t start dating until their senior year. Ryan played for the varsity basketball team and Ginger was at every game, cheering on the varsity cheer squad.
After graduation, Ryan was accepted to UCLA. Ginger decided to follow Ryan to L.A. so they could stay close to one another. They spent their time in college getting to know each other better, helping one another with their classes, and figuring out what the future would hold.
On a warm spring night, after graduating from college, Ryan took Ginger to the beach to watch the sunset and talk about their next steps. While Ginger gazed at the setting sun, telling Ryan all about the big dreams she saw for them, she noticed he was quiet, when she turned to him to make sure he was still with her, there was Ryan on one knee, holding out a ring.
Ginger burst into tears and flung herself into Ryan’s arms. She told him her dreams were already coming true.
Ginger and Ryan are planning a fall wedding, after the Corona Virus hopefully passes….and I can shoot actual people getting married!

During the Corona Virus of 2020, photographers were not considered an essential business, and were no longer allowed to conduct photo sessions. In an attempt to stay creative, bring laughter to people, and not get bored , I decided to shoot everyday around my house.
