One of your favorite wineries in Paso Robles is Grey Wolf Winery. The minute we stepped foot in the door on our first visit, we knew it would become one of our go to places!
The tasting room is a little farm house nestled among the vineyards. The staff is welcoming and the tasting room is inviting. It has the feel of home. You’ll find a sitting area in front of a rustic fireplace that is adorned with a family portrait of the owners hanging above the mantle. Off to one side is a little nook for playing games or just having quiet conversation over a glass of wine.
Grey Wolf offers two brands of wine, the Barton Family and Grey Wolf. Both are outstanding wines but I tend to lean toward the Barton Family brand because of the label name. Each wine is named after a song or a band like, “Paradise City”, “Broken Road”, and my favorite, “The Dance”.
It is through my love for music that I know most of the songs on the labels and can hear the song in my head when I read the labels. I feel a connection to the wine because of the song it was named for. Whenever we visit the tasting room I play the song associated with the wine we are tasting. Try it! It enhances your tasting experience!

After your tasting, you’ll no doubt decide to buy a bottle of your favorite wine. I’d be willing to bet that you’ll buy The Dance. It is in my opinion one of the best songs ever written, and it is one of the best wines they offer!
With your new favorite wine in hand, head outside to enjoy their patio. Like the inside, it feels like home…only prettier! There are a several areas to sit and lounge while soaking in the views surrounding you.

Once you’ve settled on where to sit, and your wine is poured, be sure to head over to Barton’s Kitchen. You’ll find a menu offering fresh local items like charcuterie plates, salads, sandwiches, and a to die for macaroni and cheese.

Now that you’ve had a chance to relax, if you’re up for it, you can play a game of Corn Hole or giant Connect Four! If you’re lucky, you’ll be entertained by a local band! Be sure and keep your eye out for the resident cat. He loves to greet the guests and get some lovin’ anywhere he can.

If your looking for something a little stronger than the wine they offer, head on back, behind the tasting room to the Krobar Craft Distillery for some bourbon, gin, or whiskey!
The next time you’re in Paso Robles, be sure and visit Grey Wolf! It may become one of your favorite places too!
